The biggest reason I expect the Steelers to win is because they'll have more success shutting down Arizona's passing game than the Cardinals' aerial attack will have making big plays against the NFL's top-ranked pass defense. And if
Kurt Warner isn't consistently making big throws to
Larry Fitzgerald and the rest of his receivers, the Cards have no chance of coming out on top.Dick LeBeau's patented zone-blitz scheme should be able to give Warner fits. It will generate enough pressure, in a variety of ways, to force him to hurry passes and make mistakes. Fitzgerald is going to catch some passes, but he isn't likely to dominate as he has so far in the playoffs.Despite having the NFL's worst-ranked ground game, the Cardinals have run surprisingly well in the postseason. That ends in the Super Bowl. The Steelers are simply too talented and physical up front to let
Edgerrin James and/or
Tim Hightower do any real damage.Arizona's defense has also performed far better in the postseason than it did in the regular season. But the Steelers should be able to run well Sunday, and that will set up
Ben Roethlisberger to make the occasional big play in the passing game.
