Ok - I run across this post on a website and it made me think a lot about the best rapper in South Africa. It lists Pro Kid, as the best rapper in SA. Come on now - I don't think that's accurate - but I'll keep my opinion to myself. Check out the post below:

Along with Jamie Claude wanting to know Ghana's best rapper, we want to discuss who Africa's best rappers are. This is a chance at learning about the best rappers from various African countries too. Here is a list from BBC's Djedu by way of Jamhuri wear.
DJ Edu's list -1. K'naan- Somalia2. Pro-Kid - South Africa3. Scientific - Liberia4. Karizma - Zimbabwe/UK5. Bigg - Morocco6. Eldee- Nigeria7. Sway-Ghana/U.K8. Kru-kid- Uganda9. Bamboo- Kenya10. Reggie Rockstone - Ghana
I am not familiar with the work of some of these rappers but people like K'Naan and Sway are really big, and deserve a mention. Even though I'll agree with the fact that they are two of Africa's illest emcees, they are not based in the continent and have the big record companies backing and promoting them.
From the little I know and have heard, these people should also be in any top ten list of top African rappers - Mensa (Ghana), Blitz (Ghana), Mode 9 (Nigeria).
To make sure the discussion doesn't sway :-) around too much, let's stick to rapping in English. Let us know who you think Africa's best English rappers are.
